OUR HISTORY

In 2016, I met a young man who owned a nursery in Wangige on the outskirts of Nairobi in Kenya. He had learnt the grafting and business skills from prison as part of the rehabilitation program. He sold me seedlings which I brought to Uganda to start our fruit farm in Luwero as a passion because of our love for trees and fruits. Shortly before the COVID pandemic with encouragement of the young Kenyan man (whom we have kept close contact) and a friend working for the National Agricultural Research Organisation in Kawanda who had assisted me in the setting up of the fruit farm, I decided to turn my passion of trees and fruits into a business and started

Bwebajja Fruit Tree Nursery.
Today our business employs 6 full-time staff including 2 professionals. We have demonstration garden and skilling centre located at Sekiwunga, Kajjansi Town Council in Wakiso District where our customers learn skills on plant care & management, disease control and also appreciate the various varieties of our fruit trees, herbs and spices. The demonstration garden  also act as our mother garden from which we get the scions which we use in grafting and multiplication of our various products. With this, our customers are assured of getting well nurtured quality seedlings grafted from our own plants.

We appreciate our valued partnerships with certified nurseries, agro-chemists and National Agricultural Research Organisation which are aimed at ensuring quality service to our customers. Through these partnerships our customers get to benefit from the wider pool of knowledge from professionals within our networks.

Lastly I thank you for visiting our website and would appreciate your feedback on your experience with us.
